Building cross-platform mobile apps with Ditto just got easier. Today, we are announcing support for Xamarin, bringing one of the best cross-platform app development platforms to Ditto's Edge Sync Platform. Xamarin is a framework for building cross-platform mobile applications using .NET and C#. Developers love Xamarin because they can build Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, and AndroidTV apps faster than ever before with a single code base.

To start using Xamarin in your project, simply install the Ditto package from NuGet and follow the installation guide here.

Watch the video below for a short demo of the Xamarin.iOS version of our inventory demo app syncing cross-platform with an Android phone running Kotlin!

In 2022, Ditto is focusing on expanding support for more cross-platform frameworks. We believe this is an important part of Ditto's mission to synchronize data across the entire deskless workforce. With the release of the Xamarin SDK, we are one step closer to our goal of running everywhere, on every platform, and with every app development framework.
